AWB Number or Reference Number — Which One Do You Have?

This is where most Trackon searches go wrong. Trackon’s own tracking tool has a toggle, and you have to pick the right side:

  • AWB number — the Air Waybill number assigned to the shipment. Usually 10 or 12 digits, numbers only, no letters. This is what is printed on your booking receipt.
  • Order / Reference number — used when the parcel was booked through an online seller rather than at a counter. If your number has letters in it, or came from a shopping site rather than Trackon, this is probably the one you have.

Entering an order number on the AWB side, or the other way round, returns nothing at all — which reads exactly like a lost parcel but is not one. If your first search fails, switch the toggle and try again before doing anything else.

Tracking history lasts 75 days Trackon keeps consignment status online for about 75 days after booking. Past that point, a perfectly valid AWB number returns no result. If your parcel was booked more than two and a half months ago, the online tracker will not help — contact the booking branch directly.

How to Track a TrackOn Courier Parcel

  1. Find your AWB number. It is on the booking receipt, and is also sent to your mobile number or email once the parcel is booked.
  2. Enter it in the box above. Type it exactly as printed, with no spaces.
  3. Tap “Track parcel”. Your number is copied and Trackon’s official tracking tool opens in a new tab.
  4. Choose AWB or Order/Reference on their page. Pick the option that matches the number you have, paste it in, and submit.
  5. Read the latest scan. The entry at the top of the results is your parcel’s current status and location.
Tip No app or account is required to check a TrackOn tracking status — it works entirely through the AWB number.

Tracking Status Details

What each TrackOn tracking status means
StatusWhat it means
BookedYour parcel has been booked and registered, but has not left the origin branch yet.
Picked UpThe parcel has been collected from the sender and is now inside Trackon’s network.
In TransitThe parcel is moving between branches or hubs on its way to your city. It has not reached your area yet.
Arrived at HubThe parcel has reached the hub that serves your area and is being sorted for local delivery.
Out for DeliveryA delivery executive has the parcel loaded and is on the way to your address — usually the same day.
DeliveredYour parcel has been successfully delivered.
Held at BranchDelivery could not be completed, so the parcel is being kept at your local branch. Visit with an ID proof to collect it, or call the branch for another attempt.

Tracking Not Updated Yet?

After booking, the first update can take a few hours, and on longer routes a gap of 24 to 72 hours between scans is normal. A quiet stretch does not mean the parcel is lost.

Before you worry, run through this: check the number character by character against the receipt; make sure you are on the right side of the AWB / Order-Reference toggle; and check whether the parcel was booked more than 75 days ago, since status drops off the tracker after that. If none of those explain it and there has been no movement for several days, contact Trackon customer support with your AWB number and booking date.

Important Safety Notice

Important Be cautious if someone claiming to represent TrackOn asks for your personal information. No courier company asks for an OTP, a UPI ID, a PIN, or bank details to deliver a parcel. Do not share them, and if you are unsure, call the branch on a number you have looked up yourself rather than one sent to you in a message.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a TrackOn Courier tracking number?
Once your parcel is booked, you are given an AWB number, usually 10 or 12 digits with no letters. It is printed on your booking receipt and also sent by SMS or email. Entering this number lets you check where your parcel is.
When can I see the first tracking update?
The first tracking update usually appears within a few hours of booking. On longer routes it can take up to a day before the next scan shows.
My number is correct but nothing shows. Is the parcel lost?
Not necessarily. Trackon keeps consignment status online for about 75 days. If your parcel was booked more than 75 days ago, a perfectly valid number will return no result. For anything older than that, contact the branch where it was booked instead of relying on the online tracker.
Can I track a TrackOn parcel without the AWB number?
You can try the Order or Reference number instead — Trackon’s own tracking tool lets you switch between AWB number and Order/Reference number. If you have neither, contact the branch where the parcel was booked with your name, mobile number, and booking date.
What does “Held at Branch” mean?
“Held at Branch” means delivery could not be completed, so the parcel is being kept at your local branch instead. You can visit that branch with an ID proof to collect it, or call them to arrange another delivery attempt.
Is this the official TrackOn website?
No. Courier Tracking Hub is an independent website that explains how tracking works. The tracking box on this page sends you to Trackon’s own official tool so your results come directly from their system.
