After booking your consignment, you are given a Lorry Receipt number, which is unique to each shipment. How to Track a VRL Consignment, Step by Step
- Locate your Lorry Receipt (LR) number. When you make a booking you are issued a receipt at the VRL branch that includes a Lorry Receipt number of 9 to 11 digits. You can also find this number in the SMS sent to your mobile phone.
- Enter your LR number above. Type it into the tracking box exactly as printed, with no spaces.
- Click “Track consignment”. Your number is copied and VRL’s official portal opens in a new tab.
- Pick the right tracking tool. VRL’s menu has two of them, and this is where most searches fail. Use Track Consignments for an ordinary LR parcel or cargo booking. Use Courier Tracking only if you booked through VRL’s separate courier service. A valid number entered on the wrong one simply returns nothing.
- Paste it into their form. Enter or paste the LR number in the tracking box to load the current transit record.
- Review status and branch updates. You can then see the location log, transshipment hubs, and dispatch schedule for your goods.

Understanding each tracking status helps you estimate when your goods will arrive at the VRL destination branch or delivery point:

Why Is My VRL Tracking Not Updating?
