What Is DTDC Tracking?
DTDC (Desk to Desk Courier & Cargo) is one of India’s largest domestic courier and logistics networks, headquartered in Bengaluru and founded in 1990 by Subhasish Chakraborty. It was the first Indian courier company to build its network on a franchise model. Once you book your parcel, you are given a tracking number, which you can use to check your shipment status and delivery updates online.
Your tracking number usually begins with one or two capital letters followed by 7 to 9 digits — for example Z06066552. On a paper consignment note it is printed under the barcode as CN No. DTDC uses “AWB”, “consignment number” and “order number” to mean the same thing.
dtdc.in or dtdc.com — Which One Should You Use?
This trips up more people than any other DTDC tracking problem. DTDC runs two separate systems:
- dtdc.in — for parcels sent and delivered within India.
- dtdc.com/track — for international shipments.
If you enter a domestic Indian consignment number on the international portal, it can come back with no result even though your number is perfectly correct. Before you conclude that something is wrong with your parcel, check that you are on the right site. The selector in the tracking box above sends you to the correct one.
How to Track a DTDC Consignment, Step by Step
- Find your tracking number. When you book your parcel you are given a tracking number on the booking receipt, printed under the barcode as CN No. It is also sent to you by SMS or email.
- Enter it in the box above. Type the number exactly as printed, with no extra spaces.
- Choose domestic or international. Pick the option that matches where the parcel was sent.
- Tap “Track parcel”. Your number is copied and the correct official DTDC site opens in a new tab. Paste it into their tracking box.
- Read the latest scan. The most recent entry in the results shows your parcel’s current status and location.
How to Track DTDC Parcels Using SMS and the App
- SMS tracking: Send TRACK <space> your consignment number to 9230092300 to get a status update by text. For example, TRACK Z20979409.
- Check if DTDC delivers to a PIN code: Send PIN <space> pin code to the same number, for example PIN 110005. Useful before you book, not after.
- DTDC mobile app: Available for Android and iOS, letting you save and track multiple shipments from one place.
- Customer support: DTDC’s support team can be reached through the “Contact Us” section on their official site and app.

| Set RTO | The parcel is being Returned To Origin, usually after a failed delivery attempt or an address issue. |

Tracking Status Not Updating? Here’s What to Do
- Check the number character by character. A single wrong letter or digit means no DTDC tracking result will show.
- Check you are on the right site — dtdc.in for domestic parcels, dtdc.com for international. This alone explains a lot of “no result found” cases.
- It takes a few hours after booking for the first scan to appear.
- Long-distance legs between hubs can pass without a scan for several hours. A quiet window is not unusual.
- If you still see no update 24 to 48 hours after booking, contact DTDC customer support through their official website.
